Temp Mail Chrome Extension
A browser companion for your Temp Mail forwarding aliases — built, tested, and on its way to the Chrome Web Store.
What the Chrome Extension Actually Does
Before anything else: you do not need this extension to generate a disposable email address. The free generator on this site works in any browser, right now, with no install. The extension is a separate, more specific tool for people who already use Temp Mail's forwarding feature from the Android app — the one that keeps a short, disposable-looking address forwarding into a real inbox you check, like Gmail.
Once you have paired it to the app (a QR code or an 8-character code, the same way you'd link a new device), the extension lets you do from the browser what you'd otherwise reach for your phone for: see your forwarding aliases and their balance, create a new alias to a destination address you've already confirmed, extend how many days an alias stays active, and resend a confirmation email if one got lost. Right-click any email field on a signup form and a context-menu option fills it with a fresh alias, pre-set to forward to whichever destination and domain you used last.
Some things stay app-only on purpose. You cannot delete an alias, add a new destination address, or change where an alias forwards from the extension — only from the phone, where the account is actually signed in. That split is deliberate: if a browser session were ever compromised, the attacker could still only send mail through addresses you already approved, not redirect anything to one of their own.
As for the Chrome Web Store itself: the extension is built, has a test suite, and loads cleanly as an unpacked developer build today, but it has not been submitted yet. The team is holding the submission until the next phase of the forwarding rollout ships, so there is no live store listing, star rating or install count to point to here — and none of those will be invented in the meantime. This page will be updated the day it goes live.
If what you actually want is just a quick throwaway inbox for a one-off signup, skip the extension entirely and use the generator on this site or the Temp Mail Android app. The extension earns its place specifically around managing forwarding aliases without picking up your phone.
Confirmed Destinations Only
New aliases can only forward to an address that is already confirmed on your app account.
Aliases Only on Your Click
An alias is created only when you press the popup button or pick the right-click option, never just because a page loaded.
Capped Coin Spending
Extending an alias spends coins from your app balance, and a linked browser can spend at most 100 coins a day.
Log It Out From the Phone
The app can log a linked browser out at any time, and a link left unused for 30 days expires on its own.
Why Use This Service?
Fill a Signup Form Without Switching Apps
Right-click the email field on any site and the context menu drops in a fresh forwarding alias, already pointed at your last-used domain and destination.
Check Your Aliases at a Glance
See every alias, its forwarding destination, days remaining and coin balance in a popup, without unlocking your phone.
The Phone Stays in Control
Deleting an alias, adding a destination or changing where mail goes only happens in the app — the extension can extend and create to addresses you already approved, nothing more.
No Extra Account
Pair it once with a QR code from the same Temp Mail app you already use; there is nothing new to sign up for.
Built Plainly
Manifest V3, no bundled CDN or remote code, and permissions scoped to the Temp Mail API and the tab you actively click into.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Temp Mail Chrome extension on the Chrome Web Store yet?
Not yet. It's built and tested, but the store submission is on hold until the next phase of the forwarding rollout ships. There is no store link, rating or install count to show here until that happens — this page will be updated the day it's listed.
What does the extension actually do?
It manages forwarding aliases: an alias is a disposable-looking address that forwards incoming mail to a real inbox (like Gmail) you've already confirmed. From the extension you can list your aliases, create a new one to an approved destination, extend how long it stays active, resend a confirmation email, and fill a signup form's email field with a fresh alias via the right-click menu.
Do I need the Temp Mail Android app to use it?
Yes. The extension pairs to your existing Temp Mail account on the app with a QR code or short code, the same way you'd link a new device. It has no separate login of its own.
Can I generate a one-off disposable email address with the extension?
No — that's what this website already does, with no extension required. The extension is specifically for managing forwarding aliases (addresses that keep delivering to a real inbox), not for generating a short-lived, throwaway address.
What permissions does the extension ask for, and why?
Storage, to hold your session token and a couple of preferences; activeTab and scripting, so the right-click fill can write into the field you clicked; contextMenus, to add that right-click option; and host access limited to the Temp Mail API itself. There's no bundled analytics, no remote script loading, and nothing else it can see or touch.
What can I do from the browser that I can't do from the app, and vice versa?
The browser can list aliases, create one to an already-confirmed destination, extend it with coins, resend a confirmation, and fill forms via right-click. Deleting an alias, adding or changing a destination address, earning coins, and buying Premium all stay in the app — those are the actions that matter most if a device is ever lost, so they're kept off the browser on purpose.
